Indoor Outdoor Integration

Planning a home remodel comes with a plethora of material selections and decisions. One item that is often overlooked is how your new space will connect to the outside.

Creating a master plan is an easy way to avoid stress and regret in the future. Think about how you would like your outdoor space to function. Do you need outdoor dining access close to the kitchen for entertaining? The right outdoor dining table that ties in with your home's exterior creates an inviting space for entertaining. With current times it's important to have a space where you can still spend some time outdoors with friends and family.

While working with your designer consider a bathroom located at the back of the house for quick access from a swimming pool. Or what about an area for edible garden beds? What about a creative way to make that dog run not be such an eye sore from the new dining room windows, maybe there is a new area that the pups can spend some time in? Spending some time up front thinking about some of these things will help guide you as you go through the design process.

Having a master plan will ensure your home has a cohesive flow and integration to your yard.

February Garden Tip: Start seeds indoors, plant bare root fruit trees and spring blooming bulbs.
